Stem cell-derived exosomes are a class of tiny vesicles with diameters approximatelyranging from 30 to 150 nm, secreted by stem cells. Their formation process is relativelycomplex. Cells internalize extracellular substances through endocytosis to formendosomes, which gradually mature into late endosomes, also known as multivesicular bodies (MVBs). Finally, the MVBs fuse with the cell membrane, releasing exosomes intothe extracellular space. Exosomes are rich in various substances, including nucleic acids (such as miRNA, mRNA, and lncRNA), proteins (such as growth factors, cytokines, andenzymes), lipids (such as phospholipids, cholesterol, and sphingolipids), metabolites, andother small molecules (such as amino acids and vitamins).
INCI Registration

Introduction to INCI Names:

INCI stands for International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients, which is astandardized naming system for cosmetic ingredients. The INCI naming systemis established and administered by the International Nomenclature Committee, withtheaim of providing a unified, scientifically-based, and internationally-recognized namingmethod for various ingredients used in cosmetics.

Significance of INCI Registration for Stem Cell-Derived Exosome Ingredients:

For certain raw materials that lack a clear identity or standardized naming in the market, applying for an INCI name can offer an authoritative naming basis. This not onlyfacilitates the promotion and sale of these ingredients by enterprises in the international market but also simplifies the regulatory process for oversight agencies.
